Your Parish Council Needs You!

We have spaces for 2 more Parish Councillors for Tingewick, so if you think you could help us make a difference to the village or bring some new ideas to the table, please come and join us.

Get involved, deliver improvement and work as a team.

This is some of what we do,

Planning   Comment on planning applications, manage unwanted development, try to keep the look and feel of the village the way the village wants it.

Activities Work with sports clubs and local businesses, support and deliver information to all on the Tingewick Charity scheme, arrange Tidy Tingewick litter picks, complete an Emergency Plan for the village, work with Bucks County and the Police on topics concerning village upkeep and safety.

Infa structure  Improve facilities at the rec ground, upgrade and maintain street lighting in the village, maintain Chapel and Cemetery gardens and trees, burial record keeping, Rec grass cutting, hedge trimming and waste collection. Footpaths, village pond and other village owned public areas maintenance. Working with Anglian Water and the relevant environmental teams on drainage, sewer and culvert upkeep and ditch clearance

Village Life Issue Welcome packs to new residents, enter Best Kept village, Christmas Tree lighting event, planning the Summer Fete, communicate to the village via the PC web page and Tingewick Life Facebook page, working with the school on joint ventures where possible.

Country Issues Liaising with Bucks County on local roads via Fix my Street, we attend the Buckingham and villages Community Board meetings so we are aware of other villages concerns and solutions and any grant funding that may be available to us.

Hopefully that gives you a flavour of the many and varied things we do so feel free to come along to a PC meeting held the last Wednesday of every month at 7.30 in the village hall or contact the Parish clerk on clerk@tingewickparishcouncil.org.uk or contact one of your councillors directly

Thank you
