Scam Alert: Bogus Parish Site

Tingewick Parish Council wishes to alert residents and local businesses to a scam involving a website called Parish.uk.

It has come to our attention that Parish.uk is presenting itself as an ‘official’ or ‘parish-sponsored’ website. Under this false representation, they are attempting to:

• Encourage residents to register and share their email addresses
• Persuade businesses to pay for inclusion in a so-called business directory

Please be aware: this is not a legitimate service. Parish.uk is not affiliated with Tingewick Parish Council — or any genuine parish council — and is attempting to charge businesses, clubs and service providers to maintain listings that should be freely available to the community.

Tingewick Parish Council does not charge to promote or support local businesses or community groups. Any communications from email addresses ending in @parish.uk should be considered suspicious and deleted.
