Tingewick Pre-School
Established in 1971, Tingewick Pre-School is a small, community-based Pre-School. Our highly-skilled staff provide children aged between 2 and 5 years, a stimulating environment where each child can learn and develop through play in conjunction with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Our emphasis is on having fun and learning through play, and preparing the older children for starting school. Every child is treated as an individual and we celebrate their individuality.
We are currently based at Gawcott Village Hall, however hoping to return to new premises where our previous site was in the future. At Gawcott Village Hall we have a lovely open space, which is set up daily with activities for the children. We also have a lovely open space outdoors with a tarmacked floor which is also set up daily with activities for the children to explore.
We work closely with other childcare providers and Children’s centres to ensure continuity for children who attend more than one setting.
The Pre-school is run by a voluntary committee of parents and thrives because of the support of the local community.
The committee is guided by the local authority and the staff of the pre-school. They keep everyone up to date with newsletters; new members and any kind of support are always welcome.
