Tingewick and Water Stratford Horticultural Society
Based across two villages in north Buckinghamshire about 3 miles from the old county town of Buckingham, Tingewick and Water Stratford are two thriving village communities.
We are a local society that has been in the two villages for the past 100 years, with an active committee and membership, putting on events throughout the year.
We are OPEN to ALL and FREE to ALL!

RHS Garden Wisley – Tickets sold out, however we are taking a reserve list
Flowering Arranging Tutorial – 7:30pm Friday 14th July 2023 – Tingewick Village Hall
Elaine Rigg will demonstrate how to create an arrangement in a cup and saucer and then you can make your own arrangement with Elaine guiding you along the way. You will need to bring:
- a cup and saucer
- scissors
- small leaf foliage
- small headed flowers (in keeping with the cup size)
We will supply the oasis flower foam.
Elaine will also demonstrate and talk through options of how to do the other flower arranging classes in this year’s show. Refreshments will be provided.
As this is one of the classes in the summer show, you could enter a flower arrangement into our Summer Show (Saturday 26th August), this tutorial will guide you through the process.
Tickets cost £15.00 per person (due by 30th June)

Summer Show – 26th August
We are looking forward to seeing you at our Summer Show on Saturday 26th August whether as an exhibitor or visitor. With classes covering:-
Flowers | Vegetables| Fruit | Flower arranging | Handicrafts | Domestic Five junior classes
There is something of interest for everyone. Are you green fingered – do you like growing things? Are you practical – do you like making things? Are you a dab hand in the kitchen – do you like baking things? Why not have a go at entering some of the classes. All the classes are open to anyone to enter. You do not need to be a member of the Horticultural Society or a village resident.
This year the exhibits will be displayed in both the Tingewick Village Hall and the School Hall so do take a look round both halls to ensure you get to see all of them. There will also be the chance to win a big cuddly Teddy Bear if you can guess its name, have a go on the raffle for a chance to win a prize and enjoy a relaxing cuppa and cake.

Christmas Wreath / Table Arrangement Tutorial – 7:30pm Friday 8th December 2023
Our annual event accompanied by mince pies, Christmas cookies and mulled wine. Watch out for further details over the coming months.
